Tipis have always sustained me and I believe in them. Every one I sew goes with a wish that its new owner finds fulfillment in a life closer to nature.
Owing to careful hand stitching around the lacing-pin holes, and long straight seams laid down by my old Singer treadle sewing machine, the pace of my labor is slow and steady, just the way I like it. I love my work.
Anyone who gets a Sunmaker tipi also gets my expertise as a knowledgeable elder. You can call anytime for enthusiastic answers to any questions that come up, whether it may be about the lodges themselves, how to choose poles, how to use fire inside, or just to philosophize about living in harmony with the elements. It is always a pleasure to speak directly to seasoned or prospective tipi people.
